Holly Jolly Christmas!

We had a lovely Christmas!  Here's how it went:  Blake was up half the night (his excitement was getting the best of him.....and me).  Billy and I were up most of the night (note to self:  never leave ALL the wrapping until Christmas Eve).  Blake woke up at 6 AM (BLARG).  Lola slept in.  Finally, at about 7:30 AM, we decided to rouse the baby (GASP) so Blake didn't go crazy staring at his presents and not being able to open them!!!!  We had a prayer to express our gratitude for a wonderful year and for what Christmas REALLY means.  Then the kiddos (and us, too.  Who am I kidding???)  dug into the gifts.

I was excited to see how much fun Lola would have.  This is the first time she's really been old enough to get into the unwrapping hoopla. Yeah.  She slightly disappointed me.  She was too tired to open up gifts at the beginning.  Then Blake opened up a Zsu Zsu pet, which Lola immediately took over and played with the remainder of the morning.  Hmmmm......Santa should have brought one for Lola, too!  Alas, she eventually had a wee bit of fun and really enjoyed some of her gifts.

Lola's favorite gift(s):  Blake's Zsu Zsu pet and her shopping cart/baby doll/and toy food (for now).

Blake, of course, had a TON of fun.  Until it seemed like all he was getting was clothes and a few other boring objects.  Things picked up slightly when he opened his Louisville Cardinal Fathead decals.  Oh, and his DSi.  That made everything right in the world where Blake is concerned.  Santa really paid attention to his list and thankfully, Blake stayed on the nice side of it for most of the year! ;)

Blake's favorite gift(s):  jeans (HA HA HA HA....just kidding).  Definitely the DSi.

Billy and I also scored a lot of nice presents.  Billy actually did really well at his gift-giving.  Not that he usually struggles *cough cough*.  He just really did a great job this year.  And I think he liked what I got him, too!

Sorry, in advance, for the plethora of pictures you now have to endure.  Of course, you don't really HAVE to.  It's up to you!  But if it were me.....I would totally stay and look at the photos! :)

I should never post a photo of me at 7:30 AM with no makeup on.  Yikes.  And don't mind the tag from my new headband!

Me holding Lola's U of L shirt.  I had to hold up her gifts since she had nothing to do with them!

Of course we had to pack up and head to Louisville fairly soon after our extravaganza was over!  Here are a few photos of the kiddos opening their gifts at mama and papa 'Tucky's house! :) (And you thought the photos were done.......bwah ha ha ha...)

Most of these pics are of Lola because we also celebrated her birthday on Christmas.

The SUPER cute hat Aunt Katie made for Lola!  She LOVES it!

My brother, Adam and his cutie, Connor!

Aunt Beth got Lola some Crocs and she is obsessed with them!

Blake opening Despicable Me.  He's watched it every night since he opened it.  Yes, that means, we have all watched it every night, too!  Oh the joy!  Seriously, though, I LOVE that movie so I don't mind!

The matching scarf to her hat.  Thank you, Aunt Katie!

Blake and I relaxing!

Blake and Uncle Brandon put together this DIY straw.  Blake received it from his dad and Pam.  He had a great time with it.  Uncle Brandon then became Blake's PSH (personal straw holder).

Until Blake realized he could use his head to hold up the straw!
