Burn Notice

Addicted?  Not even close to describing how Billy and I are involved with the USA show, Burn Notice.  Obsessed is putting it mildly.  We are head over heels IN LOVE with.....a TV show?  Gross.  But seriously.....if you haven't watched it, you are most definitely missing out.

We just started watching the show in the middle of season 3 (season 4 just started).  Imagine our excitement when we found out the library had seasons 1-3!  Yeah, I know.  Talk about Christmas in July.  Except instead of Santa bringing presents, the library allowed us to borrow Burn Notice for free! :)  JACKPOT!  We didn't do much of anything else for the entire last week except for watch episode after episode of our new favorite show.

Then one day, Billy came down in jeans, a fitted shirt, and flip-flops.  He immediately asked if he looked like Michael Westen (the show's star).  He didn't (sorry, Billy).  Then Blake overheard us talking about how cool Michael Westen is.  He, too, became obsessed with the guy and he's never even seen the show.  He has, however, seen the cover of the DVD case.

So the next day, Blake came down in jeans, a button up shirt (with the sleeves rolled up), a tie, and flip-flops. He asked if he looked like......MICHAEL WESTEN.  I laughed and laughed and laughed.  What a cute kid.  So what did I do?  I grabbed the camera.  And of course, Billy was also still dressed like his hero so I invited him into the photo shoot!  Here are my two cute spies! :)

Here's What Happens.....

When Blake has the camera.....and we aren't in the room!!!  Good thing, too.  I've been wanting some of these photos for a long time.  I just hadn't gotten around to snapping them! ;)  HA!  Blake is one funny kid....especially when he's playing a photographer!

Up close and personal with.....most of a basketball! :)

Kick It!

Another soccer tournament this summer?  Impossible, sayeth me.  Alas, it was possible because it happened!  Blake was asked (at the last minute) to join another 3v3 team to play in the Noblesville Kick It tourney!  It was hot.  It was hard.  The kids lost all their games except for 1.  But.....they still had fun (I know, I know, I'm a poet)!

Blake in action!

The boys watching another game!  Pretty stinkin' cute!!!
Blake and his friend, Ty!

Lola found a friend!

Charlie and Lola!  Yes, just like the cartoon!  We love little Charlie!!!  And of course, we love Lola, too! :)

Things That Make Me Chuckle!

I haven't had the best year ever.  But what makes up for it?  Laughter.  It is the best medicine, right?  Okay, it hasn't cured me but it has definitely helped.  So here are a few things that have made me laugh out loud (LOL, as my sister, Beth, loves to say...not really) over the last several months.  And yes, I'm just now getting to this blog post.   I finally decided I was being selfish by not sharing!  I know you guys want to laugh, too! :)

First of all, I love a funny infomercial.  Yeah, I've been like this pretty  much  my whole life.  So when I saw these two, I couldn't help myself.  I laughed.  Then I looked them up online and watched them again.  And I laughed some more.  So enjoy the Snuggie varsity and the PajamaJeans.  They're pretty much awesome.  Oh and make sure you have the volume up on the computer so you can watch AND listen to the infomercial!

Then this happened the other day.  We are entertained very easily.  So Luca (our crazy dog) found a piece of gum.  I have no idea where she found it (Blake's room, perhaps?).  Anyway, she started chewing it and just kept on.  Of course we had to tape it.  I mean, we're always looking for ways to get on Ellen and stuff.  A dog chewing gum is pretty cool....at least Blake thought so.  You can hear him giggling throughout the whole video.  It's over a minute long, so if you get bored, sorry.  But again, cheap (free) entertainment is what we're after!  :)

And finally, there is this:

Yes, that is a guy walking in the drive-thru.  While we were in Louisville, my mom, my sister, and I decided we needed to get a Blizzard from the good ol' DQ.  I placed our order and made my way (in my car, mind you) to the window to pay.  Except.  Wait.  This guy walked on up to the window.  So not only did he WALK up to the window, but he cut me off.  For reals.  I thought it was funny.  We all laughed for a really long time (while waiting a really long time for our order).  Then I took a photo with my phone!  So it isn't the best quality but it might still churn up a chuckle! :)

Lots of other things make me laugh....mostly my children!  But if they're not making me giggle, the other little things (like infomercials) are! :)

Biker Dude!

On Saturday, July 17th, Blake learned how to ride a bike.  This is definitely an achievement for the books.  He has expressed NO interest in riding his bike without training wheels.  We are thankful for his friend, Ethan, who helped encourage Blake to learn to ride!  Now they can be "biker" buddies! :)

For Sale!

For sale by owner!

That's right, folks.  We are moving AGAIN.....eventually!  So in an abbreviated attempt to let you know what's going on...here ya go:  Billy's contract was up in this great state (not really so great) of Indiana.  His boss couldn't afford to keep him so he started interviewing at lots of other places.  We actually wanted and tried to stay here because we didn't want to move and have to sell another house!  However, this is our luck we are talking about; the only job available was in Louisville.

Billy starts his new job on Thursday.  And yes, I will be staying in Indiana.  If I go crazy and you don't hear from me for a while, first check on me, then just assume I have been overwhelmed by two people:  Lola and Blake.  I can do this! *Sigh*

We are excited about this opportunity.  We are thrilled we will be closer to family and friends.  We are not loving the fact that we will be living apart until we can sell the house (and probably through the school year for Blake).  If you know anybody who needs a wonderfully awesome house in Noblesville, send them our way!  Here is the link to Zillow (where we listed the house).  http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/12216-Lindley-Dr-Noblesville-IN-46060/2138161080_zpid/

Splish Splash!

Lola was taking a bath!  When we were in Louisville for the soccer tournament, my sister was also there!  We love when Jess and Genevieve come to visit!  Lola and Genevieve have a lot of fun playing together!  We thought they had plenty of space to share a bath in the garden tub!  They did.  Aren't they cuties?

And long before the visit to Louisville, we took Lola to the splash park by our house!  She LOVED it!  We were the only ones there and she couldn't get enough!  However, the second time I took her, she was miserable.  :(  I'm not sure what all that was about.  But here are the photos where she actually had fun!  We like to pretend like everything in our lives is nothing but sunshine and roses! :)

3v3 Louisville!

The weekend of July 10th, we were able to go to Louisville to see Blake play some more 3v3 soccer!  The team did better and we qualified for Nationals!  WOO HOO!  We had a ton of fun.  One of the best things?  Our dear friends from Georgetown, Val and Craig, were able to come watch the team play!  They brought their cute kiddos.  It was so great to see them again and to meet their new addition, Avery! :)

Blake and his friends from Georgetown, Tyler and Taylor!

Not sure where Blake is looking but whatever! :)

The boys carrying Caleb, Ty's brother!  CUTIES!!!

I especially like the random lady who stepped in front of my camera RIGHT as I was taking this photo.  Yup, lady, you are ON my blog!

GO BLAKE!
