The Last HOORAH!

Today is the day.  Or should I say tonight is the night?  Either way, it is the last of the March madness giveaways.  It's hard to even think about basketball since it hasn't been on since Sunday and won't be on until Saturday.  Sad.  I can't believe it's almost over.

What can we talk about tonight?  What can you win by leaving a comment tonight?  Hmmmm.......well, since I am a total book lover, I'm going to give a $10 gift card to Barnes and Noble.  I love to read.  I love to just hang out in a book store.  Of course, since I have written two novels myself (too bad nothing came out of it), I love to critique other authors.  And I LOVE to read new material!

So tell me, readers (of both this blog, and I'm sure, of good books), what are some of your favorite books?  I'm always interested in hearing what people are reading.  And I love to share some of my favorite books with others.  I  keep a book journal at the house because I have a terrible memory.  Sometimes I know I've read a book, but I can't remember what I thought about it.  In my journal, I summarize the book and give it a ranking.  Yeah, I'm kind-of a big dork.  But hey, it works!

I will start (of course) by sharing some of my favorite novels.  I love classics.  I love The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.  I love The Awakening by Kate Chopin.  I also love super fun chick lit books.  I love I Do But I Don't by Cara Lockwood.  And I love any book written by Sophie Kinsella.  My list could go on and on and on (you get the idea).....

Of course, the same rules of the giveaway apply!  I need ten of ya to tell me one of your favorite books.  If you feel like sharing more than one (and I kinda think you should), that would be awesome!  I will have Blake draw the winner on Saturday at 8 PM.  Good luck on this very LAST giveaway.  Forever.  And ever.  :)

have you tried goodreads.com? you can list it all online. i like it because i am the same way, i can't ever remember what i've read.

lately, i've been loving david sedaris. i also read Honolulu recently which is written by the same author as Molokai (one of my all time favs)

bookstores make me happy and i could spend all my time (and all my money) there.

I'm not a book reader. And I'm not just saying this, but the book I'm reading right now is the Book of Mormon...so yeah, I think it's a great book and read. I do read kids literature books to my kids, but I think they are all great..so if this doesn't count as a post, that's cool..I just don't have much to say when it comes to book reading..sorry..; )

I just finished reading two of the three books in the Hunger Games series. I think they are meant for teens, but they were SO good and kept me at the edge of my seat the whole time. Otherwise, I love reading EVERYTHING. It is kind of funny because my husband gets super jealous of my books...I get super obsessed and tend to ignore the rest of the world when I am into a really good book : )

I suck at reading. I don't know why, but it takes me FOREVER to get through a book. Even if I LOVE the book it still takes me forever! I have a stack of books on my nightstand screaming for me to pick up and start reading. I came across a blog the other day and she was going on and on about how good "Wrong Number" is. I might just go pick that one up to ad to my pile!!!

I love reading. And book store.... just heaven sent. Especially a used book store. Ah.

my recent reads, Janet Evenovich books. So far so good.

Alice in Wonderland is next on my list but I don't love classics so my hope level is low.

I just bought 2 new Caprice Crane novels.

Get on Goodreads! I'm actually about to read Uncle Tom's Cabin for the third time, which is in my top five books of all time. I put off reading it for a long time because I thought it would be depressing- it actually wasn't. When I finally read it the first time a few years ago, it happened to be the week before Easter and it was so great, that I wanted to read it again this year. I've been wanting to read the Hunger Games, but I'm too cheap to buy it. I'll wait till the craze is over and borrow from someone :)
