I'm a Big Ol' Loser?????

Let the madness continue....continue, I say!  That's right, everyone, it's Tuesday; and we all know what that means.  Yeah, American Idol and The Biggest Loser are on!  Oh, and it's also the second week of my giveaway!  Since last week was about American Idol, this week is about being a loser?  I mean, The Biggest Loser, that's what it's all about....losing losing losing.....weight weight weight!

I have been on a major health and exercise kick lately.  I mean major.  I'm gearing up for a FIVE K.  Yeah, I'm going all "runner" on you guys!  Okay, so a 5K isn't that big of a deal but it's a start, right?  I am envisioning everyone agreeing with me!  So in honor of being totally inspired by The Biggest Loser, I want you guys to reveal a few secrets (or maybe they aren't really secrets).  Let's talk about our favorite guilty pleasure and our favorite healthy pleasure!

Of course I will go first.  This is hard for me because there are about 82 million things that I would call a "guilty pleasure."  That is the main reason I'm on a super strict diet right now.  But alas, I will pick just one.  My favorite guilty pleasure would have to be...........a Paradise Bakery cookie (or ten).  My favorite healthy pleasure is easy because when I'm on a diet (which is pretty much always), I mainly eat the same thing:  a Weight Watcher Smart Ones fettucini and broccoli meal.

Now it's your turn.  I was kinda (just a tad) disappointed in the responses from last week.  The reason I say that is because a whole LOT of people were viewing the blog but not leaving a comment.  You can't win without leaving a comment.  SURPRISE!  But maybe people weren't interested in the gift card (seriously?  people don't like itunes?).  Maybe this week will be bring in a few more people.  The prize is a one year subscription to Fitness magazine.  I totally want it.  I don't have it.  But.....I can't win.  :(

The same rules apply.  Tell your neighbors.  Tell your friends.  Tell your family.  I must see AT LEAST ten comments (pertaining to a guilty and healthy pleasure) on here in order to pick a winner!  I will post the results after 8 PM on Saturday night!  For those of you who didn't read the results post from last week, Kellie Barney won!  So for this week, good luck, fellow losers (I mean people who watch The Biggest Loser)!  May the best "pleasures" win! :)

***Side note***  I hope everyone is having fun filling out the NCAA tournament bracket!  And......Happy St. Patrick's Day (tomorrow).  May the luck of the Irish be with ya (and if you have extra, send some my way)!

Yay Sarah on the 5K, you are such a better person than I! The guilty pleasure question is really hard....anything sweet, salty, just depends on what day it is and what's in the house. :) My healthy pleasure would have to be apples. I know it sounds dumb but I rarely ever stop and eat one, but they are so sweet and crisp! Stacy Groves

Sarah--you have way too much time on your hands to be keeping up with this blog--but, good job, all the same. My guilty pleasure(s) is(are) probably the tv programs I am hooked on, such as THE OFFICE, LOST, and NCIS (HOUSE, MONK, etc!). My healthy pleasure is a good walk while listening to a good book on my MP3 player.

Guilty Pleasure: Mint Chocolate Truffles from the Utah Truffle Company. I haven't had one in a few years, so I'm sure if I got my hands on some, I'd eat a dozen or more. :)

Healthy Pleasure: Fruit Salad. I love to mix Strawberries, Blueberries, Bananas, Peaches, Apples, etc... all together and make a lovely fruit salad. YUM!

First - how awkward is the whole "save vote" on American Idol. So the person finds out that they were the one with the lowest amount of votes. Then Seacrest asks the judges if they are good enough to use a save vote. "Um no, we think you suck and not worth our save vote". That's a double kick in the chops.

GP - Double stuffed Oreos
HP - regular stuffed Oreos

For guilty pleasure, I'll go with the black tie mousse cake that I just downed at Olive Garden (but let's be honest, I didn't feel all that guilty! I mean, c'mon, it's GNO!) Healthy... I'll go with fruit salad. If I have pineapple, grapes, apples, and strawberries, I mix them up and will eat it all day long. I can't wait for summer!

Nice blog Sarah! I've been wanting to start a blog, and have even signed up, but I haven't quite taken the plunge yet! Maybe you can give me some tips?

Okay, let's see... my guilty pleasure has to be Dr. Pepper, I can't help it, it's like a desert in a can! My healthy pleasure is my made from scratch hot and sour soup. It includes tofu, tree ear mushrooms and fresh lily buds. I only make it during the fall/winter and my friends start bugging me about it every August!

Sarah, this is my first time looking at your blog (sorry!), but I am so proud of you!!!! This is absolutely fabulous and looks great! What you are doing with your blog works great and it is so interactive! And running the 5k.... WOO HOOO, you are doing such great things in your life in between all of your other busy projects! My biggest guilty pleasure is Graeter's Black Cherry ice cream (and it's like $14 for a half gallon), but it is oh sooooo good and it always hits the spot!!!!! A close second, depending on my mood, are dill pickle or salt & vinegar chips! I can eat the whole bag if I am not careful.... and my tongue is usually sore afterwards (the reason I always say I will NEVER eat them again, but forget about until I actually eat them again... the payment for guilty pleasures). The healthy pleasures are definitely becoming more frequent now that I am experiencing pregnancy for the first time! I absolutely love the Mediterranean Pasta from Healthy choice; its made with orzo, beans, spinach, tomatos, and topped with dried cranberries, apples, and some cinnamon sauce! It is completely vegetarian and Yummo! Of course, for a sweet treat, McDonald's fruit & yogurt parfait or a plain Vanilla ice cream cone (there's is reduced fat soft serve!). Becoming pregnant has definitely changed my eating habits and I am discovering a whole new world of fabulously healthier foods!
